Sea View Over MorairaWhether you are coming to Moraira to buy a villa or just for a holiday, you will be delighted with what you find. Moraira was originally an ancient enclave for fishermen, and is still a pretty fishing town with an impressive port area and working fish market. The whole of the centre has been modernized with a magnificent array of shops to satisfy all demands. The choice of bars and restaurants has to be seen to be believed, ranging from small Spanish paella bars to top class restaurants with Michelin stars. Whether your favourite is pie and mash or caviar, there will be something to suit.

The coastline extends for 8 kilometers, with a selection of fine sandy beaches and the occasional rocky inlet. All the beaches display the blue flag of cleanliness. L’Ampolla sandy beach at the foot of the castle is the largest and busiest. A little further along the coast is the bay of El Portet. Although smaller than Moraira beach, it has all the same facilities and is very popular with the Spanish. The El Portet area though small, offers a wide range of villas, townhouses and apartments with some stunning views.

If you follow the coast to La Punta de l’Estrella (the point of the star), an area of cliffs and wonderful viewing areas, to contemplate the unforgettable sight of the green-blue transparent sea and the landscape around.

Town View

The area has a good infrastructure, which is being improved upon all the time. Many villa complexes are established throughout the area with good facilities and easy road access.

Teulada's landscape offers attractive views as it drops 185m to the sea. Terraced vineyards cover the whole area with a scattering of green pine trees. Teulada offers the possibility to partake in a choice of pastimes, horse riding, squash, tennis and basketball. It is also the place to visit for those interested in antiques, furniture and paintings. A typical Spanish town with a wealth of historical buildings, town hall and churches. You can wander through the town and partake in the many joyful and exciting fiestas. Generally the fiestas are open to all, an opportunity to see the locals in their fine costumes and enjoy the communal paellas and buzzing atmosphere. You will soon be joining in and tapping your feet.

Property in Moraira and Teulada differs greatly. With Teulada the main town offers a great selection of apartments and townhouses both of which are deceptively spacious. Most offer a view down to the sea and are actually only around 5 minutes drive to the beach. On the outskirts of both towns you will find a choice of villas and fincas, close to the beach and amenities, but set in a wonderfully peaceful country location. Moraira on the other hand offers a choice of apartments and townhouses in the centre of town, with a wealth of villas available with a sea views, some walking distance to the town, others slightly further out but in a very good location. Come and choose for yourself.
