About Denia

DENIA is a delightful cosmopolitan town located along the Mediterranean coastline, where the sun shines almost all year.  Its climate of mild temperatures, 20kms of sandy beaches and rocky coves make Denia an ideal place for family beach holidays, offering a variety of water sports, including diving, fishing, rowing, swimming, windsurfing and sailing.

With its privileged location, it is a popular area for purchasers looking for the village atmosphere yet with many activities within a short distance and with its famous gastronomy coverting Denia into a unique area.

Situated 110 km from Alicante airport, (approximately 1 hour 10 minutes) and 95 km from the city of Valencia, the town faces northeast, looking out across the crystal blue waters towards the Balearic Islands.

The town sits at the foot of a hill crowned by a Castle, and visitors are welcome to explore and marvel at the history and views from this ancient viewpoint.

Denia lies in a fertile plain backed by mountains. The Montgó Mountain (declared a National Park) which separates Denia and Javea, is the major landmark of the area.

There are local tours of the town available as well as a tour of the historical castle.

Monday is market day, with stalls overflowing with fresh produce, clothing, handbags, shoes, jewellery and much more to delight the casual or serious shopper.

There are many welcoming restaurants along the promenade facing the marina. The marina itself has a modern commercial area where you can dine overlooking the moored yachts bobbing in the water.  The international restaurants in the town offering a wide choice of different cuisines from around the world.

From the port of Denia and only 55 nautical miles away, you will find the idyllic islands of Ibiza and a further 60 nautical miles to Majorca.
